Tired of landmines all over your yard? Training your dog to go potty in one designated area can make cleanup easier and keep your yard looking great. Here’s how to do it!
1. Pick the Perfect Spot
Choose a small, easily accessible area of your yard where you want your dog to do their business. Make sure it’s a comfortable, safe spot for them.
2. Take Them to the Spot Consistently
Every time your pup needs to go, leash them and guide them to the designated potty area. Use a consistent command like “Go potty!” to reinforce the habit.
3. Reward Good Behavior
Once they go in the right spot, immediately praise them and give them a treat. Dogs learn through positive reinforcement, so make it exciting!
4. Keep It Clean
